Siren specializes in custom K-tip extensions, beaded-row or weft extensions, and hybrid extension plans that combine methods when one method alone is not the best answer. We select the method based on your natural density, length, texture, lifestyle, styling habits, and goal-not whichever technique happens to be trending that week.

K-tips are small sections of extension hair attached with a keratin bond. Because each bond moves independently, K-tips can create flexible movement, discreet placement, customized density, and a natural blend around the hairline and other detailed areas. At Siren, placement and bond size are customized to the hair they need to support.

Smaller bonds let us customize placement and weight more precisely, especially around finer areas, layers, and the hairline. We often cut full-size K-tips into smaller bonds instead of installing one standard size everywhere. Smaller is not automatically safer, though-the section size, bond weight, spacing, and condition of your natural hair still have to make sense together.

A beaded-row installation creates a foundation with small beads, then attaches a continuous weft of extension hair to that foundation. Wefts are excellent for adding density and length efficiently and can create a full, seamless result with fewer attachment points than individual-bond methods. The row count and placement are customized to your head shape and natural hair.

Many Siren guests wear one or two rows. One row is often enough for added fullness or support through the ends; two rows are more common when the goal includes noticeable length and density. Your natural haircut, head size, density, desired length, and the amount of hair needed for a believable blend determine the final plan.

A hybrid installation combines methods—for example, a weft for efficient fullness through the back and K-tips for detailed blending around the sides, hairline, or shorter layers. Hybrid plans are useful when a single method would leave visible gaps or require more weight than a delicate area should carry.

Neither method is universally better. K-tips offer highly customized placement and independent movement. Wefts add length and density efficiently and can be reused through multiple maintenance cycles. Some guests are ideal for one, some for the other, and some get the best blend from both. The right method is the one your natural hair can safely support and you can realistically maintain.

Extension pricing is customized because the total depends on the method, length, grams of hair, number of colors, texture, starting haircut, and time required to install and blend everything. Your consultation includes an exact quote before you commit. We do not bait you with a suspiciously tiny “starting at” number that applies to six pieces of hair and a dream.

We evaluate your natural hair and scalp, talk through your goal and routine, review maintenance, choose a method, determine length and density, color-match, and build a full quote. We also tell you when extensions are not the safest or most realistic choice. Consultations are where the plan gets specific; they are not a surprise sales ambush.

Fine hair may need less total weight but more detailed placement, while a blunt or dense haircut may require more hair than expected to create a believable blend.

Possibly. Fine hair is not an automatic no, but the installation must respect how much weight and tension your natural hair can safely carry. We may recommend smaller K-tip bonds, a lighter-density weft plan, strategic placement, less length, or no extensions if the risk outweighs the result. A consultation is required because “fine hair” covers a very wide range of starting points.

Often, yes—but short, blunt hair is one of the most technically demanding extension blends. It may require more hair, multiple colors, smaller bonds, a hybrid method, and intentional shaping. We will be honest if your current length needs more time to grow or if the amount of hair required would be too heavy for a healthy installation.

Extensions can add length or fullness while your natural hair grows, but they do not repair damage or make hair grow faster. If your hair is too fragile, overprocessed, breaking, or unable to support the added weight, extensions can make the situation worse. We may recommend a recovery plan first and revisit extensions once your hair is stronger.

Active or unexplained hair loss may make extensions unsafe. Extensions add weight and tension; they are not a treatment for hair loss. If you are experiencing sudden shedding, scalp pain, bald patches, or a medical change, we may pause service and recommend that you speak with a qualified medical professional before moving forward.

A well-planned installation on a good candidate should protect the integrity of the natural hair, but no extension method is magically risk-free. Safe extensions require correct installation, on-time maintenance, consistent home care, and professional removal. That entire system matters more than the method name.

We match more than one swatch at the root. A believable result may use several shades, rooted colors, lowlights, highlights, or custom toning to mirror the dimension in your natural hair. The goal is not one flat “close enough” color; it is a blend that still makes sense when your hair moves.

Texture matching is part of the consultation. Wavy and curly options depend on the method, desired length, current vendor availability, and whether a custom order is needed. We will compare the extension texture with how you normally wear your hair and be clear about any styling or maintenance required to keep the textures blended.

We take sourcing seriously and ask professional vendors about origin, processing, quality, and consistency. The human-hair supply chain is not always as transparent as the beauty industry’s marketing makes it sound, so we do not use “ethically sourced” as a blanket claim without documentation that supports it. We would rather give you an honest answer about the hair we are ordering than a prettier, unverifiable one.

Outside hair is considered case by case and may be declined. We order professional hair specifically for each service so we can control the method, weight, color, texture, and quality we are installing. We cannot guarantee the lifespan, processing history, or performance of hair we did not source.

The answer depends on the method, hair quality, color, texture, heat use, products, water, and home care. Reusable weft hair may last through multiple maintenance cycles, often around six to twelve months with excellent care. K-tip hair is generally worn for one installation cycle and replaced after professional removal. No extension hair lasts forever; it does not receive natural oils from your scalp.

Siren K-tips typically stay in for about three to four months with proper care. Your growth rate, shedding, bond condition, and home care determine your safest removal timing. K-tips are not pushed back up like wefts. They are professionally removed, and a fresh set is installed if you want to continue.

Most weft guests return around every six to eight weeks. Your growth rate, density, shedding, row condition, and styling habits can shift that schedule. Waiting too long can create extra tension, tangling, and more difficult removal, so the least glamorous part of extensions—showing up on time—is also one of the most important.

Plan for roughly two to five or more hours depending on the method, number of rows or bonds, grams, custom coloring, removal, and blending work. Detailed K-tip transformations usually take longer than a simple weft maintenance visit. Your consultation quote and booking confirmation will include a more accurate time estimate.

Follow the prep instructions your stylist sends, because different methods have different needs. In general, arrive with clean, fully dry hair and avoid heavy oils, masks, or styling buildup near the attachment area. Wear a comfortable outfit, and bring anything you need for a long appointment.

For K-tips, keep the bonds dry for the first 48 hours so they can fully set. After that, most extension guests should wash about two to three times per week with extension-safe products, keep the head upright, rinse thoroughly, and dry the attachment areas completely. Yes, with extra care. Before swimming, wet the hair with fresh water and apply leave-in conditioner through the mids and ends so it absorbs less chlorine or saltwater. Secure it in a loose braid, rinse promptly afterward, and dry the attachments completely. For workouts, use a loose braid or ponytail and do not leave sweaty bonds or rows damp for hours.

Never go to bed with wet or damp extensions. Brush gently, make sure the attachment areas are dry, and place the hair in one or two low, loose braids or pigtails. A silk or satin pillowcase or bonnet helps reduce friction, matting, and dryness. High, tight sleep styles can create unnecessary tension on your scalp and natural hair.

Yes, but always use heat protectant and keep direct heat away from K-tip bonds. Lower heat extends the life of both your natural hair and extension hair. Hold the roots while styling to reduce tension, avoid aggressive round-brush pulling at attachments, and remember that repeatedly cooking expensive hair is still cooking it-even when the curling iron is cute.

Some shedding is normal. We naturally lose hair every day, and attached shed hairs remain held inside a K-tip bond or weft foundation until removal. A few loose extension strands can also happen over time. Sudden gaps, multiple slipping bonds, visible row separation, pain, or excessive shedding should be checked rather than ignored.

Root tangling usually points to trapped shed hair, inconsistent brushing, damp attachment areas, product buildup, overdue maintenance, or sleeping with wet hair. Brush carefully at the roots while supporting the attachments and separate K-tip bonds regularly. Do not rip through matting or cut near a bond-text us so we can help before a small problem becomes an archaeological dig.

Possibly, but we need to inspect the installation, hair quality, method, condition, and color first. We may require a consultation, removal, or a fresh installation before taking over maintenance. We cannot guarantee another provider’s hair or work, and we will not maintain an installation that appears unsafe.

No. At-home removal can cause breakage, cut natural hair, leave residue, or turn normal shed hair into matting. K-tips and wefts require method-specific tools and controlled removal. Book professional removal even if you do not plan to reinstall.

Yes, but extension color requires a plan. Your natural regrowth may be retouched while the extensions remain installed, while larger color changes may require partial or full removal. Extension hair can react differently from natural hair and should not be lightened. Let your stylist coordinate the color and extension timing instead of experimenting at home.
